The Importance of Being Earnest
, a Trivial Comedy for Serious People, is a play by Oscar Wilde. This raucous farce is also a biting satire of late Victorian manners and high society. No one is who they say they are, but everyone is who they seem. The Importance of Being Earnest shows a full measure of Oscar Wilde's legendary wit, and embodies more than any of his other plays, his decency and warmth.

Thank You All!

We had over 100 people join us on August 8, 2020 for our snapshot of Live in the Year of the Coronavirus, and almost everyone stayed for the talk back afterwards! The feedback was great and the conversations were lively.

THANK YOU to the playwrights, directors, and actors who gave so freely of their time and energy to help make this an interesting and memorable night.

We hope you enjoyed visiting our Virtual Theater and we look forward to seeing you at the next Sandy Spring Theatre Group production.
